The Gold Spotted Rabbitfish comes from the coral sea. They are brown with golden spots across the entire body and even in the eyes to help camouflage, with a large orange spot neat the tail. Like other rabbitfish they are peaceful with other fish but can be aggressive towards other rabbitfish. They can reach up to 12 inches and will require an aquarium of at least 180 gallons with plenty of swim room as well as rock to hide and forage from. Rabbitfish have venomous spines, so care is needed when entering the aquarium. Their diet consists of marine algae and high-quality flake and pellet food. They are not considered reef safe as they may nip at corals if not fed enough.
