The Yellow Back Goatfish is a peaceful fish and can grow up to 11 inches and will require an aquarium of at least 120 gallons with plenty of substrate to feed and open area for swimming. They may not be considered reef safe as they will eat small inverts, crustaceans, and small shrimp in the sand bed but they will also eat the pests you don't want like fireworms, pyramidellid snails, and other pests. A good sand sifter to have! Their diet consists of crustaceans, clam, worms, and may take frozen meaty foods.
