The Bluefin Damsel is also known as the Black Damselfish. As juveniles they are beautiful in color but as they become mature they are mostly black. They are an aggressive damsel and should be housed with larger aggressive fish. They can reach up to 7 inches and will require an aquarium of at least 50 gallons with plenty of rock. There should be only one housed in an aquarium. They are not considered reef safe as they may nip at soft corals and shrimp. Their diet consists of meaty food as well has high quality flake and pellet.
