Seriatopora is commonly known as the Birdsnest Coral due to its erratic branching growth structure that commonly resembles a nest made from a bird. The birdsnest is an SPS coral and one of the most popular choices in this class for a good reason. Seriatopora is a great way to get into SPS corals as it is one of the easiest SPS to grow in the aquarium. This coral will do best in areas with moderate to high flow and moderate to high lighting, but hobbyist have found success with this coral in a variety of conditions. The birdsnest is known to be one of the fastest growing SPS corals and is extremely easy to fragment for regrowth or movement.
