The McCullochi Dottyback is also referred to as the Red or Orange Dottyback. The males are red and have purple outlines. The females have purple in the head and red and yellow coloring in the tail. These dottyback are a rarity in the saltwater hobby. These are an aggressive fish that can reach up to 4 inches and will require an aquarium of at least 30 gallons with plenty of rocks for hiding.   It is even said they may eat bristle worms. Their diet consists of mysis, brines and other meaty foods. They may even take high quality flake and pellet foods.
