The Lined Butterflyfish is a peaceful fish. It can reach up to 12 inches and will require an aquarium of at least 150 gallons with plenty of rock and substrate. If you want to have this butterflyfish in groups, then an aquarium of at least 200 gallons will be needed with plenty of swim room as well as rock to hide. If placing multiples, it is best to do it at the same time. This Butterflyfish is not reef safe as it will nip at soft corals, anemones, and hard corals with polyps. Their diet consists of mysis, brines, and other meaty foods. They may even take some high-quality flake and pellet foods.
