The Eight Banded Butterflyfish is sometimes referred to as the Eight Striped Butterflyfish. They can reach up to 5 inches and will require an aquarium of at least 125 gallons with plenty of rockwork. They are not considered reef safe as they may nip at some soft coral. Their diets consist of mysis, brines, and other meaty foods. This butterflyfish may take high quality flake and pellet foods.
