The Halloween hermit is a vibrant orange with banding down the legs. They are good option for a clean up crew as they eat hair algae, bubble algae, as well as cyanobacteria. As any other hermit they may attack snails for their shells. It is best to have extra empty shells in the aquarium to help reduce the chance of snail attacks. Larger size hermits may cause issues with moving your rock work as well as corals and should be kept an eye on.
