Alpheus sp. is beneficial shrimp which will constantly move gravel making them excellent sand stirrers in the reef aquarium, as well as scavenging any uneaten fish food. They form a symbiotic relationship with Watchman andPrawn Gobies. They build a burrow in which they live together and protect each other. The shrimp is about .75 inches and can grow up to 2 inches or more. Drip acclimation for about 1 hour with the goal tripling the water volume in the bag during that time.
