The Devil's Hand is a type of "Leather" coral considered to be one of the easiest to keep corals in the hobby. Leather corals are distinguished by the fleshy or leathery skin developed by the coral to hold its polyps in place. Most leather corals will develop erratic and unique shapes as they grow outward in multiple directions sometimes giving this coral a distinct "hand" look. The polyps will become more pronounced under higher PAR light, but it is not necessary to keep this coral in high light conditions. Leathers generally are adaptive to many different conditions including multiple flow/lighting and will be tolerant of a wide variety of water parameters. We consider the Devil's Hand to be an excellent beginner coral.
