Atlantic Pen Shell (Atrina rigida)

The rigid pen shell can be found in coastal Western Atlantic waters. It is a shallow water species and is typically found in soft-bottom silty habitats. Its wider posterior gaping end extends just above the sea bottom surface to facilitate filter-feeding.

They should NOT be exposed to air. They should be dripped acclimated for at least 1 hour.
