This branching Hammer Coral has dark purple tentacles that glow radiantly near the top of the polyp under blue light. Occasionally this hammer will produce neon green branches randomly within a head of purple tentacles. Hammer corals can adjust to most lighting but does best in a moderately to high light and moderate to low flow. Most LPS corals do not like very high flow due to the fact that the larger polyps can take damage from violent movement. Branching hammer corals will grow into a "tree" like structure and can grow relatively fast under the right conditions.
The scientific name: Euphyllia sp
